The "Rock and Roll" song by Gary Glitter that gets used at every sporting event has to be up there. Hell, if it weren't for Glitter's every-so-often arrests for kiddie porn and pedophilia, no one would know who he is.

Yeah, I wonder if people even know that was a real song and not some sort of sports creation.

Black Betty by Ram Jam, circa 1977 ("whoa, black Betty, bam-ba-lam....

Proud to say I saw them open for Styx and, yes, there were every bit as bad as you'd imagine they'd be.

I have that Album, and Manfred Mann as well. I think Manfred Mann was pretty good though.

that's a Springsteen song

Manfred man recorded it first because Springsteen had a contract dispute, and wasd not making records until it expired. He recorded his version later.

Wipeout
Hold your Head Up (not the Zombies)
She's not There (Zombies)
Pipeline Sequence
Frankenstein
Hanky Panky
Train Kept a Rollin'(not aerosmith)
Spirit in the Sky
Its All Right Now (who did they become?)
Funk 49
I Got a Line on You

..for the last one...Guitar World - April 1997
NATURE'S WAY: SPIRIT guitarist RANDY CALIFORNIA, one of the greatest, underrated guitar heroes of the Sixties,... Spirit were unreconstructed eclectics whose music was a mishmash of jazz, hard rock, folk and more. California's playing was underpinned by a genuine blues sensibility honed by personal study with blues greats like MANCE LIPSCOMB and SLEEPY JOHN ESTES. He also played with JIMI HENDRIX for 3 months in 1966, just before Hendrix departed for London. But California's most enduring legacy may well be the fingerpicked acoustic theme of the song "Taurus," which JIMMY PAGE lifted virtually note for note for the introduction to "Stairway to Heaven."
