What the**** is Comcast? ATT just dropped NHL network.

I get MLB network, NBATV and NFLNet all part of my normal U300 package. The only sports network I had to pay for? NHL Network. **** you King Gary!

Serious question, as someone who grew up watching hockey on a snowy, black and white feed on a TV with rabbit ears all I kept hearing about was how hockey in HD was supposed to make it so much easier for those "novice fans" to follow the puck. Well I now have an HD TV and have Versus and NBC in HD and when watching games on these channels all it does for more me is to shrink the size of the players and puck and make all the lines and graphics on the ice turn "fuzzy". Honestly, I would prefer to watch the games in standard def on normal channels.

Somebody enlighten me, wtf is so great about these hi-def broadcasts?

Hey Grandpa,

HD offers a lot more clarity. I never noticed a huge difference with being able to view the puck, but the picture is much easier on the eyes. I've heard people say that HD makes hockey easier to watch. I disagree. It's just as difficult to follow as it was without HD. It still requires your full attention, and that reason alone is why hockey will never be a popular TV sport.
